Mr. Wang Ming Dao's work and preaching has had great influence on the faith and life of Chinese Christians. This book studies the relationship between this spiritual leader and Chinese churches, from a historical angle.

The first part of the book describes the major events of Mr. Wang Ming Dao's life, including his family background, education, rebirth, being called to the ministry, his church ministry, his testimonies during Sino-Japanese war and his imprisonment and release after 1949. Among his multi-level ministries, his greatest contributions are probably the publication of "Spiritual Food Quarterly" and the establishment of the Christian church and the pulpit ministry among thousands of churches in Northern and Southern China.

His theological thoughts represent the main stream of the conservative Chinese churches.

The second part of the book analyzes Wang's theology and illustrates his viewpoints on: rebirth, the nature of the Gospel, the personality and work of Jesus Christ, the authority of the Bible, spiritual pursuit, and the mission of the church. Wang had always advocated that believers be firm on Biblical truth and resist the impact of the New School of Theology. He established an apologetics tradition in Chinese Church history. This tradition has had great influence among the contemporary Chinese churches.
