　 舊譯的 〈荒漠甘泉〉 是 1939年，由唐醒和袁周潔民選譯的， 沒有照原著全譯。且有些錯譯， 例如一月一日靈修第一 段第一句 "There lies before us the new year and we are going forth to possess it, "possess " 舊版譯成等待我們去經過 ， 應 是等待我們去擁有 。 且舊版未取得出版者授權 。新譯本在這些 方 面 都 改 進 了。

Chinese Christians love this devotional book. This new translation of "Streams in the Desert" is based on the one written in contemporary English. The old Chinese translation was translated in 1939. The old one has some mistakes in translation and onluy translated selectively. This 960 page hard cover book contains 366 Chinese English devotional articles for daily devotions. Three different indices help you find your favorite poem or article. This book was published in Aug. 2002. The whole book is printed in two colors, and has a ribbon bookmark.
